As we develop the
Emoticon Dictionary, there will be some questions that arise that I would like some input on from the community and you pixel lovers. My first question is...
What should the size limit of emotes be?
As you know, we tend to not have big emotes. The

emote is the exception and we really don't want to see anything as big as that in the Dictionary. Emotes are supposed to fit within text. Having a 200px gap between lines of text isn't something that would be conducive to the ease of reading. Emotes are a way to enhance the emotion you are feeling while writing text, it is not part of an image board. So, what do you think the height and width limit should be? Give me a number, and defend it...I'm curious as to what you think.
Devious Comments
But I really can't imagine any emote being in the dictionary that exceeds 50 pixels in width. That'd be a max, at least if you ask me. :3

Your :longthrow: emote is 150px long. You think 50px should be a max?

Keep it simple before the site turns into an assortment of colorful, kiddy gum ball machines you find at the mall... guaranteeing the immediate departure of fantastic artists who currently display here on Deviant.
imo 55*30px is suffisantfor creativity. The width is the more friendly dimension.

I don't see how having a big width would be a problem, so setting the max width to 150px could probably be reasonable I think.
